Maybe you should have asked what is their predominant color. I have 3 tri-colors. One is almost totally tan with a small amount of white and and even smaller amount of black. The 2nd one is almost white with black and very little tan and # 3 is almost totally black with very little black and white.

 

The Wonder Twins are tricolored. Lillie has quite a few brown and black tics on her white parts.

Chloe is brown headed, black backed and white feet (or pink feet when she wallows in the mud).

 

Chloe is red and white. I also like the fact that she has 2 shades of red... as if she is a red tri-color.... :hi:

 

Baxter is a Tri-Color Beagle. Mainly black with a white belly. His tan colors are coming in more, especially on his head and face. Man how they change over the months!

I appreciate the feedback on saying predominate color. You can certainly vote based on that or however you would like. Whatever category best fits your dog. As I started typing in the colors, I realized there could be such an array, that I stuck with the major/basics.

Dakota's a tri. I had such a hard time deciding between a lemon and Dakota. Obviously Dakota won, but I loved the lemon so much also we might consider getting one if we can get a handle on Dakota's craziness.
