Cobi is seven, and he never learned to play with toys. AWHHHH! But he plays with everything else, from paper to shoes, to food, to empty bags of dog food. I'd like to be able to have him play with a couple of toys....any idea on how to teach him some new tricks???
Like playing with a rope or a ball?

Lucky doesn't only wants household items and my son's toys. It's like he know what toys are meant specifically for him and he avoids them like the plague!!!!

Chloe ADORES her toys. I started her off on chewies and plush toys from the very first day I had her. My cousin insisted that she has at least 3 squeeky toys upon her arrival, so we went out and bought some (along with everything else).

I really have no idea how to encourage Cobi to play with toys... sorry.

i've only had snoopy 3 days but i can already tell she loves her toys.... i think part of the trick is that every time i see her chewing on something "human" i distract her, say no, and put her "allowed" toy directly in view... then she chews on it for a bit. after awhile she started to pick up on what was hers and what was not allowed...so far so good BUT anything could happen still :p good luck /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif

Ours both chewed on toys when they were young. Now Pooh Bear still loves toys. Stuffed toys, chew toys any toy. Sadie could care less about toys. If you can't eat it, forget it. She loves raw hide chews and bones, but I only give these rarely and supervise closely. I am afraid they will get a small piece chewed off and choke on it. I think it depends on their personality.
