Yodel's first weekend has been wet, cold, rainy and drab but I don't think he notices. We are all in love with him! (maybe except Henry but he'll come around). /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

He still makes Henry growl but I think Henry is a bit grumpy because he hasn't been able to go take his suntans outside and relax. Yodel slept in the bed with us last night. Just a couple of accidents /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/congrats.gif...he's one of those that when he goes outside he is too curious and busy to potty. When he pees, you feel like you just won the lottery! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/toofunny.gif Oh, he's a "squatter".

When you talk to him, he listens very intently and looks at you with that sweet little face and you fall in love all over. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/winkingsmiley.gif

He was treated for adult heartworms a month ago so he coughs, especially at night. A trip to the vet is in his near future. He still has chewies hidden all over the house, including in a couple of pots that house plants used to be in!

He loves to play with toys and my son is happy to have a dog to play with. (Henry is not interested in that).

Anyway, I asked Jamie to host and post some photos for me...my computer is making it impossible to do so at the moment...too slow. (Now I know why people push their computers off of their desks)! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thsmiley_fistshake.gif

Oh WOW what a fantastic Yodel report /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/toofunny.gif

I'm so glad that he is settling in well and how could you not love him with a face like that.

It takes time but Henry will come around and they will be buddies real soon.

Thanks Jen and Eleanor!

He is going to fit in quite nicely around here. But when you all see the pictures, tell me...am I crazy or does he look like a beaglized dachsund?

/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/greendevil.gif beaglized dachsund. I haven't seen the pictures yet, but from the blurry ones you posted a couple of days ago, he does have a dachsundy look to him.

anyhow, did you forget that all beagles look different?

Laughing over here at the beaglized dachshund expression but maybe he does have a bit of dachshund in him, you never know.

I often think that Sherry is a beaglized foxhound because she has longer legs and shorter ears like a foxhound.

Great pics Denise /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbup2.gif !
Sorry it took me so long, Béla (Daddy, not baby) is sick with a stomach bug, Ashleigh is sick with something else so I'm catering to them as well as trying to take care of BB and do household stuff.

It's so nice that Yodel is settling in so well. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif I love his markings. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/soapbox.gif Looking at the last picture, I'd say he might have some dachshund in him, but no matter. The dog who started my love affair with beagles was a beagle/doxie mix, and he was a great dog. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/sleep.gif

What a great Yodel report! I do see a little doxie in him but hard to tell -- whatever the possible, mix, he's adorable. From the last picture, it looks like Henry is still sizing him up. Please give Henry an extra hug from us -- he's still no. 1! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/doh00000.gif

You're right, Eleanor!

But under "pets names", I can't make myself remove Olivia. But I'll add Yo-Yo Yo'del!

Awww, so glad to hear Yodel has arrived safe and sound! He is sure a cutie (love the perfect white sock on one of his front paws)! Very impressed he is already sleeping in bed with you... that sure didn't take very long! And I'm sure Henry will get used to him and the idea that he is here to stay... I still remember the "What on earth were you thinking?!" looks we got from Booker just after Moose arrived - he had A LOT more energy than Booker and it definitely took her a bit of time to get used to having a whirling dervish around!

Looking forward to lots more reports, stories and pictures!
