More on our phantom back yard critter. Remember I was convinced I had cats, possums or racoons getting into our yard at night? I don't ever see them, but I have in the past seen various animals in our yard. Then a few weeks ago Sadie and Pooh had a mouse cornerd on the back porch. So I though our critters were mice. I have been setting mice traps with cream cheese or a bit of peanut butter as bait. No catches. But yet still each morning Sadie and Pooh go out into the yard and detect a scent and start wagging tails, yipping and barking. Yesterday and today seems like no matter what time of the day I let them out, they detect a scent. Whatever this critter is it runs all over the yard. Hubbie thinks they are field mice. I have put some moth balls out under the shed and put some dryer sheets around the yard. I read on the Internet that dryer sheets can deter mice. My neighbor suggested peanut butter and a peanut for bait in the mouse traps. Any other suggestions? I want peace back again.
