I have been asked to give a talk tomorrow as part of National Pet Week. I have been asked if I can bring the girls in as well so we are all going to school, so I agreed to take Willow and Rasha.. The kids will go mad and give them alot of fuss but I will make sure that they are given alot of room and if they are showing signs of sress then I will take them out.

They have been to school before and enjoyed all the attention so it should be ok. I will let you know how its goes.

Just make sure you do a nose count before you leave and have all three present and accounted for! :hi:

Make sure nobody wants to stuff one in their backpack and take one of your sweeties home! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

That sounds like fun for everybody. I wish Shiloh were well enough behaved for something like that. But it would be just like her to pull me all around the room while she sniffs out a student's lunch!!

Willow and Rasha had a great day and were fussed loads. I took them around the grounds for about 20 mins after I had unlocked the campus. They found lots of treats thrown in the bushes.

The principal came down to see them in my office where they were in their crate and said lets see them out I said that they had just had a walk but he insisted that I let them out so I opened the door and WOOSH they shot out of the office in the first classroom out of that one into the next, double beagle zoomies around the site for about 5 mins. I was glad that they did not find the dining hall as it was breakfast club and a number of pupils would have been mugged.

They were very well behaved after that and the talk went very well, a couple of pupils took them around the room to be petted as I told them about beagles, agility and showing. We had a question and answer session at the end the girls just lapped up all the fuss and finished off with a play fight much to the delight of the kids, all in all a good day.

Sounds like a super day had by all! I would really like to get involved with therapy dogs -- a long, long time ago I taught special education and I think it would be great to have a therapy beagle to interact with special needs kids.
