My first suggestion would be to ask your vet if he has generic Heartgard (called "Iverhart"). It is significantly less expensive -- much more so than any on-line Heartgard sources.

You could also check out some of the online pet pharmacies (like 1-800-petmeds or drs foster and smith - there are others too, do a google search). You may have to get your vet to write a prescription, it all depends on what drug you want. For the most part they are a lot cheaper than buying from the vet.
