I tried useing a choker on Shiloh when we walked but ha would pull til he choked his self. So I was afraid he would hurt his self ! NO more choker!!

LeeAnn,it can be done just SOMETIMES it may take a little longer for a younger dog. Beagles get bored real easy and their minds starts to wander to other things. So a repeated lesson over and over sometimes won't work for a beagle. Sometimes you may have to treat the lesson like a game. Beagles love to play games so even a lesson that you vary a little will seem new to him and he won't start that bored look. Sounds like bob has had better luck with it and can probably tell you a lot . But beagles can be trained it just take a different "twist" to it. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif :thumbup:
