WAR!!! (of the fleas)--I'm Winning!

After finding fleas on all three of my beags, I have declared war on the little buggers in my house. Every stitch of their bed linens has been washed in hot water, beds scubbed with bleach, carpets, floors, and furniture vacuumed, all three dogs bathed, floors scubbed with hot water and bleach. Basically if it didn't move, it got scrubbed, washed, or vacuumed. Tomorrow I'm buying some more Frontline to spray them down with. In the meantime, I'm cooking down some lemons to make a citrus spray repellant, and I fed them some Garlic with dinner which is also supposed to repel fleas. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif Whew!! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Like littledude said, don't forget to treat your yard as well as the area's surrounding the yard.

One year, in New Orleans, the fleas were so bad that I sprinkled Sevindust on my carpets and left for the night with my dogs. I vaccumed it up the next day and voila...fleas gone.

It's what worked for me.
