<span style='font-size: 14pt'><span style="color: #FF0000">Adoption or rescue needed by Monday, March 24th!!</span>
</span>

Can you or someone you know help this well-behaved senior Beagle who desperately needs a new home now?

Meet Cori. He is a sweet 10-year-old neutered Beagle in Lancaster, PA, who is healthy and up-to-date on shots.

Cori's one-and-only devoted owner has terminal cancer and was taken into end-stage hospice care last Wednesday. If no rescue or adopter is located by Monday, March 24th, Cori will be taken to a local shelter. The odds of a senior Beagle making it out of most PA shelters is not high.

There will be no extension of Monday's deadline- the owner's daughter is being threatened with eviction by her landlord if Cori isn't rehomed by Monday.

Cori's vital stats:

- 25 lbs.
- Good with other dogs; not cat tested
- Crate trained
- Leash trained
- Reliably house trained
- Medium energy
- Calm when left alone
- Very loving and loves to be petted; if you sit on the floor, he backs up into your lap for a "massage"
- Laid back personality
- He would be an ideal pet for a senior looking for a quiet, good-natured companion

If you can rescue or adopt Cori, please email: [email protected]

I know this is late, but can Cori be transported out of state? I could foster here until a permanent home could be found, but obviously time is crucial. Try gining Cascade Beagle Rescue-East a call!

Cori is SAFE!! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/toofunny.gif

A wonderful transporter picked Cori up in Lancaster today and transported him directly to a NJ rescue. He will be vetted and well cared for until the right adopter comes along.

If anyone is looking to adopt this 10-year-old male Beagle, you can PM me for more information.

/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif What great news! (Jamie -- you are not that far away and you've read about the long distance transport chains. He would make such a cute older brother for Abby. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/soapbox.gif )

Re: Cori is SAFE!! - Lancaster, PA

What a sad story! It gives you pause to think what would happen to our pups if something happened to us. It's a good reminder to plan for that sort of thing.

How upsetting it must be for Cori and his owner to be separated like that.

I'm glad Cori didn't end up in a shelter. My gosh, he deserves better than that.
