I might be crazy, but even though I love Daisy to death I miss my mini dachshund and would like to have another. I think Daisy would benefit from a playmate too. I found these 2 dachshund/shihtzu mix puppies and I would love to get one of them. My husband says no way because of the work involved with another puppy, but I think Daisy would have a blast. Any advice on talking a stubborn husband into another dog?

I'm with pfr, just take both. What's one more to the family?
AND they will be buds for each other and your beagle....the more the merrier! When I was a kid, we talked my mom into two mutts because we'd take care of them...my bro was 19 and I was 22, we moved shortly after the dogs came to live with us....see the picture....those two little fluff balls were my parents pride and joy after we left. It's a good thing!

If puppy breath can't convince him, nothing will.

They are so dang cute! Good luck and let us know how it goes. But, it is true, it will actually make Daisy a better girl because she'll have companionship and someone else to entertain her. Getting Violet has made a world of difference with Duke....a tired beagle is a good beagle! LOL

No, unfortunately he wouldn't agree and they were taken by others. I am happy that they found good homes though.

I think he's coming around though! He agreed to look at a litter of dachshunds that will be born on or around Sept 3rd. The father is a dappled long hair and the mother is a red smooth coat, so it will be interesting to see their offspring. I'm hoping to get one of those. The fact that he agreed to look at them once they are born is positive!
