Our Sadie is almost 16 months old. She is still very quiet.
We can coax a little “Buff!” out of her if she thinks there’s someone at the door.
If she gets really excited, maybe a single, honest bark.
The most I’ve ever heard from her was when she was running full speed, playing with the neighbor’s Boarder Collie. It was an occasional, high pitched “yip” that almost sounded ( If I didn’t know better.) like she was in pain. Oh, and she’ll growl if you play tug-a-war with her.
My wife thinks I’m crazy, but we spent a little time at Beagle Palooza, and I kinda liked all of the Arrrooooing. I wish Sadie would express herself that way. (Once in a while.)
“Be happy she doesn’t!” I’m told. :nono5:

Elizabeth never makes a peep, either. Well, she did make enough noise to wake dh every day of his week of night shift. I was at work, so I didn't have the pleasure of hearing it. Dh was not amused. I've heard her growl when playing with our German Shepherd, and she scared my kids half to death growling at the bedroom window one night. Turns out she was growling at her own reflection! Other than that, she's been practically mute.
