Too Quiet Beagle

Our Sadie is almost 16 months old. She is still very quiet.
We can coax a little “Buff!” out of her if she thinks there’s someone at the door.
If she gets really excited, maybe a single, honest bark.
The most I’ve ever heard from her was when she was running full speed, playing with the neighbor’s Boarder Collie. It was an occasional, high pitched “yip” that almost sounded ( If I didn’t know better.) like she was in pain. Oh, and she’ll growl if you play tug-a-war with her.
My wife thinks I’m crazy, but we spent a little time at Beagle Palooza, and I kinda liked all of the Arrrooooing. I wish Sadie would express herself that way. (Once in a while.)

Our two are both very vocal but in very different ways. Crook tends to bark more. He also has the typical yelp (?) when he's sniffing. Bel, on the other hand, barks little but tends to yodel and howl more. She sounds soooo cool when we get home everyday. Arooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Love it! She also coos and purrs at me while she lays on my chest. Peggy hates it :p Bel NEVER does it with her.
