Our Sadie is almost 16 months old. She is still very quiet.
We can coax a little “Buff!” out of her if she thinks there’s someone at the door.
If she gets really excited, maybe a single, honest bark.
The most I’ve ever heard from her was when she was running full speed, playing with the neighbor’s Boarder Collie. It was an occasional, high pitched “yip” that almost sounded ( If I didn’t know better.) like she was in pain. Oh, and she’ll growl if you play tug-a-war with her.
My wife thinks I’m crazy, but we spent a little time at Beagle Palooza, and I kinda liked all of the Arrrooooing. I wish Sadie would express herself that way. (Once in a while.)
“Be happy she doesn’t!” I’m told. :nono5:

Daisy doesn't bark much at all. She will Arrooo, however, whenever I get home. I love it. It starts out as a gurgling deep in her throat and then rises to a full-voiced bay until I pet her and let her out.

Sometimes, I join her and I think she loves it! It's fun for both of us. :biglaugh:

She has barked, but very little. When she sees me get the Liver Snax out, she's so impatient she arrooos and sits up without a word from me. Those are the only treats she will do that for!!

She bays when outside, but mostly when it's dark (and late) and I have to tease her back in with a treat /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

No matter, you gotta love 'em.
