Too Quiet Beagle

Our Sadie is almost 16 months old. She is still very quiet.
We can coax a little “Buff!” out of her if she thinks there’s someone at the door.
If she gets really excited, maybe a single, honest bark.
The most I’ve ever heard from her was when she was running full speed, playing with the neighbor’s Boarder Collie. It was an occasional, high pitched “yip” that almost sounded ( If I didn’t know better.) like she was in pain. Oh, and she’ll growl if you play tug-a-war with her.
My wife thinks I’m crazy, but we spent a little time at Beagle Palooza, and I kinda liked all of the Arrrooooing. I wish Sadie would express herself that way. (Once in a while.)
“Be happy she doesn’t!” I’m told. :nono5:

Wow!! I wish ours would take a lesson from Sadie. They are both very vocal. They tend to get each other going. Sometimes Casey has no idea what she is barking at she just barks because Hunter is. We are glad all our neighbors have dogs too, otherwise we may have some angry people.
