Too Quiet Beagle

Our Sadie is almost 16 months old. She is still very quiet.
We can coax a little “Buff!” out of her if she thinks there’s someone at the door.
If she gets really excited, maybe a single, honest bark.
The most I’ve ever heard from her was when she was running full speed, playing with the neighbor’s Boarder Collie. It was an occasional, high pitched “yip” that almost sounded ( If I didn’t know better.) like she was in pain. Oh, and she’ll growl if you play tug-a-war with her.
My wife thinks I’m crazy, but we spent a little time at Beagle Palooza, and I kinda liked all of the Arrrooooing. I wish Sadie would express herself that way. (Once in a while.)
“Be happy she doesn’t!” I’m told. :nono5:

Wish ours would be a bit quieter!!!ha ha we sound like an express train coming through the woods. Snoopy yelps non stop a really frustrated yelp, looking at Dave and meaning, Let Me Go. It at least warns other dog walkers that the mad beagles are coming. Susi doesnt bark or yelp, she screams!!! It really sounds like she is being badly treated and we get some strange looks from strangers. Oh for the day that they walk quietly. At home they hardly make a sound.
