What is a good age to introduce a pup to training for the hunt and what methods do other owners of field beagles use?

I am not a hunter - and don't train my dogs for field trials - however my Tanna is from a long line of field and international field champions. Joshua - I don't go there often, but American Beagler has a lot of information about trials, hunting, etc. There are many knowledgeable people there who might be better able to help you. My beagle group consists mostly (like this one) of pet owners and we have very little about it on the group.
