thought it would be fun to see what everyone's dog has eaten and or ruined that they shouldn't.homer has eaten
hair rollers
bathroom rug
playing cards
foam ear cover from headphones
2 blankets
shoelaces
emeryboard including the plastic cover
numerous sticks,leaves and bugs
tissues(that fun to clean off the rug....lol)
paper towels
torn many toys and ate the stuffing
toilet paper tubes
he tries to eat the plastic bag hanging over the small garbage can in the office but we stop that when we hear the can sliding on the floor.....lol
and now he is working on towels-he has one covering the pillows in his cage and has started pulling it off and dragging around the house to roll in and when he gets tired of that he pulls and chews at it

In addition to the aforementioned items we've all lost to our crazy pups,

let me add the two that ALMOST sent me over the edge:

-Hole chewed into, and stuffing pulled out of the middle of my brand new pillow top mattress.

-my son's completed taxes AND the W-2's that went with it!

Everything else pales in comparison..... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

It would be easier for me to list things she hasn't eaten. Her current obsession is paper...any kind of paper... magazines, books, paper towels, homework, mail. I brought home a take out menu from a new restaurant and gave it to my husband. He must have left it in her reach because when I came back in the room there was nothing left except a few yellow scraps. She has also eaten many of the items listed by others.
Let's see...

Angel Hair Pasta
Dried Beans
Half of my sister's sandwich - right off the table!!
Sandwich Bun still in the bag AND underneath several pieces of mail (didn't even disturb the mail and I never knew until I looked for it!!)
Tried to eat raw potatoes - didn't like them
Tissues - especially used ones
Paper towels - preferably shredded
Bugs of any kind
A couple of toads - even though they're supposed to taste awful!!
Half a loaf of potato bread

There are probably a lot of other things. And, folks, she's not even near to being a puppy!!!

While our dogs have chewed on a great many things listed here, I still thought I would add a few that I did not see.

Do any of you find that your dog's have an obsession with chewing things of certain colors? I had heard before that dog's are color blind, but that cannot be true. Ours will not let anything survive if it is the color RED.

Items chewed that have survived our memory:

*my husband's blue tooth
*shoes, shoes and more shoes
*our sprinklers and the ends of our hoses constantly
*used tissues/paper towels
*our mail
*bras & undies
*children's toys
*their plastic food dishes - we mostly use stainless steel bowls now
*t.v. remote
*they ripped the linoleum up off the kitchen floor (good thing we plan to replace it anyway)
*every stuffed animal they can get their paws on
*their red leashes & collars
*mice
*animal feces of any kind
*kitchen rugs

That's all I can remember right now, but one of our pups is only 6 months old so I am sure there will be more to add soon. lol

OK, I can really top this one!
We have 3 beagles. 2 male and 1 female "Angel" (yea right)
Angel or "the devil dog" as we fondly call her found her way into the master bathroom as a puppy and chewed up and ate part of the plastic intake water hose to the toilet....in the morning...while we were at work! When my daughter got home from school at 3:30, it had "rained" all the way into the basement (we have a two story house) In total....$45,000 worth of water damage!!!!...yup she was just too cute to strangle!

To make it worse last year, she jumped up on me as I was walking down the stairs and I fell (broke both my feet and was in a wheel chair for 3 months)...yep, still too cute to strangle.
I'll never forget getting home after my daughter called me in a panic. I walked in just in time to watch the tape on the sheetrock fall off the soaking wet living room ceiling. My only thought was
O......M.......G!!!
Funnier yet...when I got up to the "damage room" all three dogs were safely dry IN THE BATHTUB!!!
Paws hanging over the edge, tongues hanging out, wagging their tails!
Angel was the only "chewer" so we knew it was her. Never did figure out how Kota got in the tub, he was still pretty small to make that leap.

Marley hasn't had a lot of time to get into trouble yet, but already he annoys me by eating every piece of lint and even hair he can find.

I've had to pull it out of his butt a time or too which is not nice. (sorry)
