Hi Everybody!
I am happy to introduce our new beagle, White Gloves The Six Nations, called Molly McBeagle. As many know, I've waited 3.5 years since the passing of Ally McBeagle to get another puppy and I'm totally thrilled!

Molly is named in honor of Molly Brant of the Mohawk tribe, one of the Six Nations of the Iroquois Confederacy. She was born Deganwandoti in 1736 in New York, educated and at age 18 accompanied a delegation of Mohawk elders to Philadelphia to discuss fraudulent land transactions. She is described as having fine and beautiful features, quiet in demeanor and possessed of a calm dignity that bespoke a native pride and consciousness of power; she was never imposing but no one was in her presence without being aware of her. When her husband died, she increased her interest in politics between the English and Iroquois. A loyalist during the Revolutionary War, she promoted the interests of Native Americans. As the war progressed, she fled to Canada and her home was pillaged. She settled near Kingston Ontario and was offered land and financial compensation from the Colonists, which she refused. She passed in 1796 and on Molly Brant Celebration Day in 1996, a plaque and sculpture were placed to commemorate her.

I kept McBeagle to honor my first beagle, Ally McBeagle (named for Ally McBeal, the popular late 90s sitcom - because she had "issues" like the character in the show), who brought us 18 years of happiness.

Here's our Molly:

It was hard to find a name, most Native American names are multi-syllabic that I couldn’t pronounce! I pondered Kateri, the first Iroquois saint, but it didn’t seem to fit her personality (plus she’s far from being a saint, lol).
You should make him a pet art print or family photo commemorating the day you adopted him
