Squeegee is getting neutered today and like any beagle mommy I'm sooo worried! I know he'll be fine but at my vet they keep him overnight and I'm hoping he'll do ok. Why do they keep him overnight? Who's going to snuggle with me? Haha, I know I'm being ridiculous and I'm really hoping that I don't start crying when I drop him off.

You might. We do get scared for our little ones. Just know that it is normal to worry a little and try to find a big stuffed animal to snuggle with for the one night. You both will survive!

I was worried about Maggie when she was spayed but she did fine. My vet keeps them overnight also but I can call any time to check and they do have a tech on site all night. Good luck to you and Squeegee.

I know I'd cry if I had to leave Jersey over night at the vets. She was already spayed when I got her, but I remember crying like a baby when I dropped Amber off to be spayed. I miss my girl when she's not with me.

I'm sure Squeegee will be just fine. I'll send happy thoughts your way.

As a rule, boy dogs act as though nothing's happened. Personally, I prefer having them stay overnight.

Apparently I worried the vet to death. Squeegee did fine and they finally told me that I could take him home instead of waiting until tomorrow

He's home now and seems to be acting normal! Yay!
