Something is wrong with Chloe

She is not herself. The last 2-3 days she's been depressed (for lack of better term). She eats and drinks, but hardly plays, always asleep and isn't greeting me as usual when I come home (usually she jumps up and down for a few minutes then follows me around the apartment, now she is just wagging and goes back to bed, not even following me). I feared leaving her this morning, after forcing her on a walk (she just won't budge) she drank a little and didn't touch her food. She might have eaten after I left, but I don't know.
She pooped last night (11 ish) and peed this morning. Her gums are fine, no ticks, nothing hurts as far as I can tell.

I bought a thermometer to take her temp. when I get home. If she is still like this I'll take her to the vet. Any idea?

This is one of the times when we wish our furkids could communicate their feelings. Dogs have off days, too, so maybe that's Chloe's problem. With my dogs, not eating is always a signal that something's wrong, so I'd take her to the vet if she refuses food for very long.

That's the thing, she ate yesterday and this morning I left the food for her because she didn't go for it the minute I put it down for her. I might take her tonight.

OK, no vet for us. I came home and she was happy to see me, jumped up (well, not exactly, but stood on her hind legs) and made this happy yelp they do

Then I saw that her bowl was empty (almost, 4 pieces left) so she ate, and her water bowl was almost empty. Good!

Just to be on the safe side I bought a thermometer and checked if she has a fever, she doesn't. Her temp. is 101.8. From what I understand - that's good.

Thanks for your encouragements

Yeah! I'm glad to hear that Miss Chloe is back to her old self. Give her some big Beagle kisses from me and Jersey!
I'm still a little worried as she is still not as jumpie as she was. She is a little hesitant before jumping on the sofa and on the bed. She will jump, but a softer jump than usual. I stretched her a little, felt her spine and she didn't seem to be uncomfortable, so I'll keep an eye on her and see.
Maybe you need to restrict her, i.e., no jumping, for a couple of days -- when you described her behavior changes in your first post, I did think something physical.

Just got home!
, Chloe is fine as far as I can see, greeted me with jumps, a short session of zoomies, and jumping on and off the sofa and bed

I'll still keep my eye on her for the next few days, for any sign of problem. Thanks all for the best wishes

I'm very happy to hear that Miss Chloe is doing better! I was thinking about her all day today and hoping for the best. Maybe she should take it easy for the next few days, just to be on the safe side.
