I have my little Maggie for now 1 week and I must admit that the first 5 days were really hard for us. She wouldn't sleep if she were not in my bed with me. She pee'd and poop everywhere. She couldn't get on the bed, so she was crying for us to get her in... a perfect puppy first days in a new house ! We started to train her to pee on newspapers ( Way too cold outside for her ). Cookies works like a charm for training /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif She now do her things on the newspapers ( except 1 or 2 times ), she sleeps in HER bed without us ( Still need to work on the "Don't wake us up to play at 3:00 am" ) and she's very happy !

She only had 1 accident, she was outside on my deck and she was eating snow. I started to hear her crying ( Was in front of the window watching her ) and I open the door and see her tongue that was making only one with the metal plate on my door, fortunatly it wasn't "glued" tight and removed her without problem.

She's a little sweetie who will grow into a beautiful lady

Puppy raising can be quite tough, but the good experience outweighs the bad if you do it right and do it with love and patience and lots of understanding /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Keep the stories and pics coming!!!

She's so cute! Raising a puppy is hard work. It gets easier. Patience and consistency are the two most important things right now. You've already learned how valuable treats can be! And don't forget, she's missing her littermates too right now, especially at night. She's going to need time to learn her place in a new home and with her new pack. Keep it up, it seems you're going in the right direction. Before you know it you'll have a happy, beautiful companion!
