SNOWING!!!

It is snowing here in Greenville, South Carolina. This may not be a big deal to most, but we never get snow. We always just get ice. We finally have snow and I am so excited Lucky gets to experience snow for the first time!!! I will post pictures later! :biglaugh:

Enjoy the snow, we hoped to be escaping the snow this year but alas it arrived. Now we shall probably have snow until the end of March. Last year was the worst snow on record here, this year was the warmest January for many years. Thats global warming for you.
I was going to ask who sent the unwelcome snow. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif Guess it's all a matter of perception. The good thing is, that our side of the state didn't get nearly as much as the northeastern side, and it's melting fast.

Caesar LOVES the snow! Enjoy it while you have it.
I guess this is all due to the "Global Warming".
We had record low this year, most of my plants are frosted, even patched of my lawn are brown. Have you heard oranges frosted on the tree, so you folks expect California oranges prices will go up. Last year summer I remember we had record high, three digit 112 F. Charlie shivers in the morning when he goes out the yard, he does not want to stay any longer than couple of minutes just enough to do his business.
Wow, wonder what can we do in our part to reverse the situation, not driving?

I can't wait for the snow to get here. It's supposed to have started already but nothing yet. Fin loved the snow last time and I'm excited for him to get some more.

Oh and to answer the question about global warming, we would need to reduce our dependence on oil. We also need support renewable resources such as solar, wind, and hydro power. These will help reduce the effects of global warming but its already happening so there's not much we can do to reverse what'been done.
All I can say is: :toofunny: :toofunny: :toofunny:

Aww how cute! Our little girls will never get to experience snow, just sweltering summers and comfortable winters..

Enjoy the snow, and I know Sally and Leia are very jealous of Lucky getting to play in the snow.
Great pics! I'm sure it was a fun day!
My Maggie tunnels through the snow like a plow, and enters the house each time with a pile of snow on top of her nose. During potty time, she eats as much snow as she can. (The WHITE snow of course :biglaugh: )
Cute pictures. Our pack wasn't at all enthusiastic about the snow. This was the first accumulation in Spook's life, and he indicated that he wouldn't mind if it was the last! :eyes: Traveler is the only one who doesn't seem to mind snow. What can I say, they're southern dogs! :lol2:
We got about 2" from the same storm! This was Phoebe's first snow! :happyhappy: She had a ball chasing Jazzy the lab around the back yard! Teddy decided to stay inside and catch a nap infront of the fireplace.
The weather is kind of weird all over the world this year. Here in Bangkok, we are freezing, too (though most of you would call this comfortable /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif ).

Looks like little Lucky sure had a great time in the snow!!!

We have had more snow than usual this year. I am hoping for no more. However Maggie had a glorious time. Like the Maggie mentioned earlier she puts her nose down and tunnels through.
She always came in with snow on the top of her nose.I guess it was worth it for the beagles and kids to have fun but I am ready for regular old Washington rain!
And the storm all of you are talking about went out to sea and missed us again! My kids aren't too happy as they haven't missed a day of school (yet) this year. The weathermen keep saying last year we had over 41 inches of snow and so far this year we've had 1 inch.

So the pups really haven't even had there first full snow yet? They liked what has fallen so far...
Sorry, pfr, but I for one am enjoying this snowless winter!! But take heart. The weatherman says the whole state should get an inch or 2 tonight or tomorrow morning! Miss Shiloh will be happy--she loves playing in it!!
No snow here, all we got was some ice and very little at that. Oh well guess we'll have to wait until next time. Great pictures though!
Hi Genie, I do like the snow, but only to watch it from the comfort of my home with nowhere to go. Since I work full-time I usually don't enjoy it. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif

Lucky and I enjoyed the snow! See in South Carolina, we don't get snow so when we do, we get a little excited. Those who see it all the time probably don't enjoy it. I was mainly excited for Lucky to get to play in snow for the first time! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Bear and Wellington just love the snow. They always come in the house with snow covered heads.
