Glad to hear an updated post on your family. Wish I had some words of wisdom to offer, but it sounds like you are doing the best you can to blend your family. I've decided, unless we have 8 hours/day to spend with our pups, walking, socializing, training, etc., there is no way to have a perfect dog. My Maggie spends too much time at home, and she has 'issues', but I do the best I can do, and I push her into situations she is uncomfortable with all the time. She is three, and we're still working, but it's getting better (she has anxiety in certain social situations, and will vomit/drool from anxiety). She doesn't drool or vomit when Ed has her, just ME!! Ed says she picks up on MY anxiety....and I think he's right; I must baby her too much.
