My pooch would have slept all day if he didn't have to go for a walk or eat. I swear he yawned and slept all day.

It was cold and a little dreary and I was being lazy myself but why the heck is he so daggone sleepy? My hubby tells me I worry too much.

Mine have days like that .... just as I think WE do - I could have slept all day today if they'd let me. I wouldn't worry unless he has some other "symptoms", like not eating, that's when I worry, when a beagle doesn't want to eat! Then you KNOW something is wrong!
On these cold gloomy days, mine do seem to sleep more, too.

thanks! I think I just worry so much because he is our first puppy after watching our sweet angel pass away from cancer, we saw how he went on a fast decline. It was a heart wrenching battle.

Marley He is 8 months old so I have a long wayyyyy to go with worrying. I will get better /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I am the world's worst worry wart, so I know how you feel. I used to get concerned when Duke had a "down" day (considering this dog is like the Engergizer Bunny usually). Now I realize that sometimes it's because his routine was thrown off earlier in the week and he is catching up. Since he is usually alone and sleeping on weekdays, when one of us is home and he is up all day, he has to catch up later. Plus, now that he's almost 10 months old, he is starting to calm down a little and he has more lazy moments than he used to (thank goodness).

I worry about everything also. The least change in routine concerns me. Maggie also has days where she is drowsy and just wants to be on her pillow on the couch all day......then there are the days when I wish she would sleep a little more! I think you are just in tune with Marley and thats a good thing because if there is ever really a problem you will catch it early.
