Show leads???

I am asking our UK members where you can get a decent half check show lead? I needed to go to Crufts this year but Gwenni was too little to kennel so could'nt go so did not get an opportunity to buy some leads.

Barking Mad, where do you get your show leads? and what sort do you use on Willow?

Caleb has outgrown his old one. I dont like slip leads as they choke the dogs, the half checks worked.

I want to be able to show Caleb and Gwenni this year.

Any suggestions welcome!!

I am going to hve to do the Ringcraft training at home as our local one is rubbish and snobby!!

Hi Hellen, we brought a leather half check all-in-one coller and lead set from this site. http://www.hessonite.net/ The coller size was 0.4m and the lead was 0.8m. It cost £24 but the quality was good and the leather was nice and soft.

Good luck with the ringcraft, you will have to let us know where you are planning to show as we might be entered as well we do go as far as Worcester on occasions.

When we were at Crufts neither of us had any butterflys. I guess that you are up against some of the top Beagles in the world that you just think that you have not got a cat in hells chance and just go out and enjoy it.

I did get nervous the show before crufts. We were up against a champion and I really wanted Willow to beat him, there were only 3 dogs in the class. Willow did beat the champion and go on and got Best Of Breed.

So when your expectations are bigger the more nervous you get, well that seems to be the way I get affected.
