I've noticed Daisy has been tripping up stairs pretty frequently over the last week or so. Normally she has no problems, but lately she has tripped so to speak where her back legs just don't make it on the step. She's also had a couple of problems with getting up on the bed which never bothered her before. Maybe it's just the new comforter (it's a little more slippery for lack of a better word), but the stairs worry me a little. She doesn't show any signs of pain and she's not 2 yet. I'm just paranoid since my last dog had back problems and I first noticed problems with steps.

I would definitely keep an eye on her. I'm like you though, and get paranoid about back issues. Amber had back problems as well as hip dysplasia so I'm always worried about Jersey hurting herself. It could be nothing though. Maybe she just pulled something and is a little sore. Maybe she's just being clumsy. Jersey and I send her some Beagle hugs and kisses.

I would keep an eye and maybe jot down what you see and when in case you decide to call the vet.

Are her nails trimmed Just a silly question but nails that get too long can make them off a bit.

Hope she is okay!

Less than two does seem to be early for back problems. Has Daisy had any really heavy duty exercise or sudden movement? Fingers crossed that it is just sore muscles and not back problems.

Her nails are pretty short. They were just trimmed a week or so ago. She does rough house a lot with Max and they do get rough with each other sometimes. Maybe she did something during one of their play sessions. Thanks for the well wishes. I'm keeping a close eye on her. She tripped up the stairs a couple of times last night, but it didn't seem to phase her. She just stops, regains her bearings, and keeps on going.
