No - I did NOT give them to him. While I was walking Shasta B., he found them plus a small bag (really small) of Fritos. Of course he did with them what most Beagles would do. These are the candy jelly-type of Orange slices covered with sugar. There were 10 ounces of them. Right now he is out in the bakyard and from the bark/bay I heard - he is good. He ate these about 45 minutes ago.
Should he go to the vet - do I need to call? He is known as the Iron Gut by many - chocolate w/foil wrappings (no ill effects. Who knows what else.

I can't imagine that they would hurt him since they're probably mostly sugar, but it also wouldn't hurt to just give the vet a call. They should be able to tell you if it's dangerous.

I wouldn't think they'd hurt him, but he might have a sugar high.

Typical beagle! I think with his iron gut history he'll probably be OK, but if you're worried, I give the vet a call just for peace of mind.

He will probably be fine. I call my vet all the time. Usually his very knowledgeable receptionist can advise me and if she is not sure she has the Dr. call. If you are worried its worth it to call the vet just for peace of mind.

silly beagle, well you know how it goes with beags, if they can reach it.........its getting eaten.

I'm sure they'll be fine, just keep an eye out, at most he'll get a sugar rush i think.
