I will be short on text cause it's very hard for me ... my little brother is allergic to my dog, causing us to let her go with a new family. I met them and they will be good with her and they knows how beagles act and how they are... unique. They like hunting, they have a very big fenced yard. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

I'm so sorry! I know it's so hard to say goodbye. Will you still be able to see Maggie and keep in touch? Again, I'm so sorry to hear this news. Don't forget, we're here if you need to talk! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

I'm so sorry to hear this.... My brother was also allergic to dogs and so I was never able to have one even as a kid, although I desperately wanted one (and suggested to my parents we adopt out my brother so I could have a dog). I know it doesn't make it any easier now, but I know you will be able to have a dog on your own one day and in the meantime Maggie will have a great life with her new family (but she won't forget you and she will always be in your heart).

So sorry to hear the news, but good that you have found a new home for her. We adopted our first two beagles (6 months of age) from families who couldnt keep them. The second family visited Spotty for 14 years, until she died. Maybe you could keep up with Maggie.

I'm sorry. I know how much you wanted her and how hard you worked to get her. I hope you can at least find some comfort in knowing that you were able to find her a good home.

You showed that you were a good dad to Maggie by finding a good home for her. It might be too hard for you to visit her, but maybe her new family can send you pictures and emails and keep you involved in her life that way. I'm so sorry things turned out this way.
