Always hard to read these posts, but I've been there too - my first boy Archie had lymphoma. He passed away peacefully in my arms one morning, and I console myself in knowing for the 6 months we knew about his cancer he didn't suffer. He just became noticeably tired one day, and an hour later let out a little yelp. I ran to his side, rested his head in my arms, I thanked him for all our good times and bringing so much love to my life, then said he was free to rest - and he did.

I still feel sad thinking about it, but I have so many wonderful memories. We now have BG who's 7, and such a beautiful dog. So happy!
