Hi all again. Snickers has been in the family for about 3 weeks now and for the first 2 weeks we didn't have any accidents with her in the house. But this last week she's eliminated several times in the house. We walk her after meals, playtime, and when she wakes up. She eliminates on her walks, but after 5 minutes inside she'll go again. I don't understand this regression. Is she more comfortable in her new house now?

It is strange to understand dogs. Usually it is better to take a dog for a walk BEFORE a meal. Then let her rest and when she wakes up take her for a walk. Accidents in the house happen. Our Susi (nearly 8) had accidents in the house until December last year- dont worry she was in a laboratory until she was 6. Now she is housetrained. We dont know what the sudden change was caused by, apart from the fact we bought a new carpet, a cotton one, in December. We have gone through several new carpets with her, but this one she likes!!!
Good luck.

It does take sometime for a dog to get use to new situations(some longer than others).
Also always good to check for UTI.
Hang in there, it will get better.

They always have a regression with housetraining. Don't discourage, she is on the right track. Continue with whatever you are doing, they need stability and persistance, that is what helps best!

Good luck!
