We have a post regarding recipes for us. How about sharing recipes for our furkids.

I'll start. I posted this one previously, but will be adding others when I find my Dog Recipe Book.

Yogurt Pupsicles

Mix large container of Yogurt (with live acidophilus cultures and no sugar) with ground Carrots, Apples (raw or cooked) or lightly cooked ground Liver. Ladle into ice-cube trays and freeze. They love them and it a great way to give them a cool treat on hot days.

That sounds yummy Maria. The Apple in yours reminds me of the recipe for Apple Crunch Pup Cakes.

2 3/4 cups water
1/4 cup applesauce, unsweetened
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
4 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup dried apple chips ( you can also use fresh fruit)
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 egg, beaten slightly
4 tablespoons honey

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray muffin tin with cooking spray. Mix all wet ingredients thoroughly. Combine dry ingredients in separate bowl. Add wet to dry slowly , scraping well to make sure no dry mixture is left. Pour into muffin tins. Bake for 1 1/4 hours or until a toothpick inserted into center comes out dry. Store in a sealed container. Makes around 12-14 pupcakes.

Peanut's Light Biscuits

2 cups Whole wheat flour
1/2 cup Soy flour
1/2 cup Cornmeal
1/4 cup Brewer's yeast
1/4 cup Dry milk powder
1 tsp. Garlic powder
1 tbs. Parsley - finely chopped (great for breath issues - LOL)
1 pkg. Dry active yeast
1/4 cup Warm water
1 cup Chicken stock
GLAZE 1 Egg beaten + 1 tbs. Milk

Dog Food Recipe Directions:

Preheat oven to 300F. Combine the flours, cornmeal, brewer's yeast, dry milk powder, garlic powder and parsley in large bowl. In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water and stir well. Then add the chicken stock. Pour the liquid mixture into dry ingredients. Working with your hands, combine all ingredients completely. Knead for several minutes.

Sprinkle a board with additional cornmeal and roll dough out to 1/4 thickness. Cut into shapes and place on un-greased cookie sheet. Brush lightly with egg glaze (beaten egg and milk added together) and bake 45 minutes. Turn heat off and let biscuits dry out in oven for several hours or overnight. Store in airtight container.

I guess I am going to have to copy everybody else's recipes and add them to my cookbook.
Maria you are only about 220 North West of me. Being in Colorado, I have found that the recipes that I have shared so far are okay for high altitude.
