I have two friends at work who use Banfield. They are both very pleased with the services and like the vets. Typically the vets only stay a couple of years here so if you like to keep the same person that could be a problem. Both of my friends have insurance policies with Banfield. I don't know what those cost but they seem to think it is a good deal.

I was reading up on this service and it seems reasonable. My only problem is Petsmart is a half hour away. We have a Petco closer that does low cost vacines. But the store is dirty and they have you line up and do them in the cat food isle. (I'm sure the girls would love to wait in the cat food isle) I don't mind the waiting in line, but I've seen two dog fights break out.
I just called to bring the girls in and its going to cost me $490 and thats with no meds. Actually I've been caling around and everyone is within $50 so I might as well bring back to my vet.

We use Banfield and ADORE them. We enrolled JoJo in one of their Wellness Plans and have saved over $800 just in the past 2 visits.
You might check into that b/c that will certainly lower the cost (the wellness plans will)
I think we pay $18 a month and it covers SO many routine check-up type things and tests...and we get a discount on all other services.

The only drawback, for us anyway, is that the vet visits take SO long. There's one Vet for 4-5 patients.
Our last visit was a worm re-check and a few booster shots. We were there for an hour and a half.

I have 3 different vets that I use depending on what is needing done. Banfield at PetSmart is one of those. I have never had a problem with any of the vets that I have used there. I must say that I don't think I have ever seen the same vet either. I actually credit them with saving my Buck's little life the day my husband brought him home frozen.

Also, I think it is a good idea to have more than one vet that is familiar with your animals. It comes in handy in emergency situations. I will take my dogs to whoever has the soonest available appointment if it is an emergency or sick.

I am very happy with my current vet and she even gives us a family discount. However, for minor things or a visit if our vet were closed, I might try the Petsmart clinic.

I don't have any experience with Bainfield, but I have nothing but praises for our local PetSmart store. They have a great bunch of people who are eager to help, love animals and consistently go above and beyond for us. If the same philosophy follows suit I wouldn't hesitate to try Bainfield.
