Since around 3 4 days old, pups have hard like elongated legions under their skin on their back towards the midway and rear points. Vet gave me anitbiotics and thinks it may be a staph infection. Has nayone ever experienced this with pups this young or any age? They all are very healthy acting and have doubled in size. They will be 6 days old tomorrow. The spots seem hard like dried bubblegum. No hair loss. ???

Sorry to hear about your pups, but glad they are acting healthy and growing. I don't have any experience with what you describe, but hopefully someone here will be able to offer some insight. Welcome to BW, by the way!

We have only had one litter here so far and had no problems with the pups. Sorry I can't help.

Sorry, I can't help either - and I've had 5 litters here, but nothing like that. With your permission, I'll cross post this on Beagle Bay - we have several good breeders there who have more experience than I have. Glenda
