Hello, I was wondering if anyone here would know the average height of an 18 week old beagle pup. My cousin just purchased a pup from a family. The pups parents were both onsite the dam was 13 and sire 15 but this pup is already 13.5 tall. Is this normal height for a pup this age? Thanx.

Your puppy should be gaining about a pound per week for the first 6 months and then it slows down a bit. You really won't have a good indicator on the height until around a year.

You are measuring at the shoulders right and not the head? Do you have pictures? I don't see anything abnormal about this.

Yes I'm measuring at the top of the shoulders....LOL! So this is average for a beagle pup at 18 weeks? My red tick pup is 12 weeks old and is half the size.....But she came from two 10 hounds.....He just seems so BIG....LOL!

I'm looking for a Beagle growth chart....Anyone know where to find this info? Anyone ever chart the growth of their pups into adulthood?
