Henry got nipped this morning by his older brother, my male cockatiel, Dixie Chicken. It's springtime, so Dixie is very moody (hormonal) and very defensive of his "nests". Dixie was wooing an invisible female under the nightstand and feeling grouchy, so I left him alone and played with Henry. Henry, meanwhile, got curious, and slipped into my bedroom to investigate. He knows "Birdie gonna bite you" but he took the risk anyway, lol. Dixie charged out and tried to take a chunk out of him. Henry promptly turned and fled, lol. It was really really funny! Then Dixie stomped out and started hollering, "NO, bad bird!" (Yelling at Henry)and "Up, up!" (wanting me to come and get him). Never a dull moment with those two...

Maybe he learned something...doubtful, though! Dixie is a pretty smart boy, says lots of stuff, and is a good judge of character! (He bit one of my exes on his big toe while we were arguing!) I'm working on the pics...I'm very technologically challenged, lol.

Dixie would probably have a coronary if I brought him home a real girlfriend. He's very possessive of me and was just peeved that I wasn't checking out his 'nest'. Henry's intrusion into his mommy time doesn't sit well with birdie. I hand fed Dixie from an ugly chick, so he really thinks he's a person...
