It's been awhile since I posted. Buster, our middle beagle, is due for his second TPLO surgery. He had the first one in Dec 2005 and they warned us that he might eventually need to have the other leg done and we have reached that point. He has been limping for a couple weeks and we tried a week of rest and Rimadyl and when that didn't help we had xrays taken. The vet and the surgeon agree that there is a tear. So we scheduled him for surgery yesterday but when I got to the vet the assistant had forgotten to put him on the schedule and the surgeon had not brought the right equipment so we had to reschedule for next Thursday.
Buster was not a happy camper last time with the forced confinement of playpen or crate 24/7. He even got to the point of burying his food dish if he didn't feel like eating right away. I am hoping it goes a little smoother this time.
