how snuggly and loveable, how could you call him dumb? Wow. Please take care of him, or find him a home with someone who will. Beagles are very smart, independent, affectionate, and curious.

Keep us posted.

I take very good care of him. I told you in the other thread what I mean by punishment. surely saying "bad" isn't too harsh?

no it's not bad. I guess your other post was just a bit harsh and being as though you are new here and that was the first I saw, I didn't know how else to take it.

keep training him patiently and it will work out. Good Luck. Ask questions as needed.

Oh how precious! Does he still have puppy breathe???? I miss those days cause now it just seems my Pups smell like either chewed up plastic or poop or whatever else they can chew!

His puppy breath is starting to go away.

He is a handsome devil and I get stopped all the time by joggers on the trail behind my apartment. He is a lady killer I tell you...

How cute. There is nothing more fun than a beagle puppy. As frustrating as these first months can be enjoy them and look for the humor because they will be gone before you know it.

oh he is too cute... mine is a bit younger...but every time i say no to him he just gives me those big brown puppy eyes... but you have to be stern... i work full time so its hard to be with him during the day...but i also have a 13 year old cousin who loves him. so every day after school she takes him out side for me and plays with him. have you tried having someone come over and wear him out. i know they can be stressful. but when i get to stressed to handle him i just call my cousin and she rides her bike over and plays with him until i can handel it... you should try something like that..but hang in there everything will work out

He is so so cute....how old is he?

sorry, Ive been away from the forum as Im working a lot over the holidays and I havent been here much.

All I can say from what other are saying, seems like your wearing out...hang in there...Im not sure what your other posts have been but I can tell you, you will not be disappointed by just giving it time...im not talking a few weeks, we are talking a few months...and what is that compaired to years of happiness that you give to your beagle and he gives to you?

Ill tell you my experience here b/c It seems as if you are ready to give your beagle up from posts here.

We got Snoopy from a rescue (the one in the pic)..VERY scared, still is, had MAJOR seperation anxiety, had to use meds to calm him down..it was horrible...

FI wanted to give him back in one week..I said no way... a month later, he wasnt much better..but no WAY I was giving him back to a shelter..you just DO NOT DO THAT....that is horrible..never ever....so we were going to break up b/c of this...I actually left with Snoopy b/c FI was going to give him back....NO WAY EVER would I put him back in the shelter!!

FI hung in there, now Snoopy 1 year later is the PERFECT dog..you couldnt ask for anything more...he is still scared of humans, but he is awesome...FI loves him to death...and YES...I give him guilt trips b/c he gave me Hell wanting to give him back and I wouldnt budge....who has no heart to do that to a dog?? really?

Not sure what your situation is but hang in there...give it a good 5 months at least...you can handle that...anyone can...it will be worth it

Hope this helps...

Manda
