Peticure

Has anyone tried that new peticure nail filer they've advertised on TV? Thanks!

Re: Peticure

The breeder that is bringing Casie to us, and many of the show people have said they use them, simply because they don't leave slivers on the dog's nails. But you have to be patient, have a patient dog to stand there for that long. Clipping is still faster...but I like the lack of slivers that the filer uses.

Re: Peticure

I was thinking of getting it, but don't know if it's worth the money as I doubt Chloe would go along with it - the motor noise will probably be too loud for her. She backs away when I brush my teeth with my electric toothbrush!
Re: Peticure

I was wondering if my two would stand for it as well. I just get tired of how rough their nails are and Daisy hates having her nails clipped. Plus, some of her nails are black and I'm always worried I'm going to clip her quick.
Re: Peticure

I was wondering about it too. I always wonder about the tv infomercials tho.
Baxter depises his nails clipped. On the average it takes 30-40 minutes and Im thinking if I used the tv one it would take double or more.
Re: Peticure

I was going to get one, but after looking around on the internet, I saw some pretty poor reviews. A few have caught fire. I went to WalMart and got a cordless dremel for $20. Charlee doesn't like the feel of it, so I just clip his nails, then file them with the dremel.
Re: Peticure

We don't have the ones advertised on TV, but Tucker likes the rotary tool fileing a lot better than clipping. He freaks out because of the presure and yelps even before we do anything. We take him to the groomers now for his nails and ask that they use a dremmel.
Re: Peticure

Daisy doesn't like having her nails clipped either, I think it's the pressure that the trimmers put on her quicks.
