Pooh Bear (7 year old male) has been panting a bit in the evenings, extra hungry and thirsty and is peeing often in the evenings. Wonder if he is reacting to the Glucosomine/Chondrondrine tablets that I have just starting giving them with their dinner?

Poor baby. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

I would ask the vet about the side effects of GC.

We went to bed fairly early last night and Pooh Bear slept through the night. I'm going to not give him the Glucosomine and see if this evening peeing often thing goes away. thanks,

What is the reason for giving them "GC"? I give Goober cider vinegar, saw-palmetto, & tumerick to ward-off such things as tumors, prostate problems & rheumatisim/ arthritis! Goober is a very healthy old beag...but he is over 15 yrs old, going on 16! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif

NW Redneck. How much of each ingredient do you give him?

The Glucosomine was recommended for Sadie to take because she has hip displasia. It is supposed to rebuild cartilege I believe and helps with arthritis. I have been giving it to Pooh Bear as well just to try to ward off any arthritis in him.
