Jazzy, thanks for asking about Pooh. Yes, he is better now. Although sometimes it is hard to tell how he feels. Sadie and Pooh are both 8 years old (not related). She is much more energetic than he is. He is very laid back and likes to lay around a lot. But, he isn't peeing often anymore, back to normal as far as that goes. I am feeding them just their dry dog food and low fat doggie snacks. For a treat last night I boiled some chicken breasts for them. I encourage him to come outside with Sadie and walk around and sniff, etc. I notice that if I feed him something he should not have he will need to get up in the night to go pee and will drink lots of water. So I am sticking to the orders from the vet. The orders were no pork, ham, bacon, roast beef. They can only have lean chicken or fish if we had to feed them anything but dog food.
I do worry about him because he is so different than Sadie. Sadie likes to get up early and go and sniff and run around the yard. Pooh will sit on the porch and watch her run around. We don't walk them, we have a large back yard for them to play in. But I do put his leash on occasionally and take him for a little walk around the front yard. He does perk up for this and loves it. We don't walk them because Sadie was attacked by a large dog when they were little when we were walking them. We have tried walking them some since the attack but seems like some stray dog or un - leashed dog will come up to us and scares me to death.
Anyway, he is just fine. He is curled up with me now sleeping.
