Our boys love wild meat! But all of them are now too old to hunt!
But, that has not stopped Pop & I from harvesting big game to
feed them & offer them meat-covered bones for their supper! Now
that winter seems to be "waning"...& "slightly warmer" temps have
entered our "playground", and it is "primetime" for our beags to
enjoy our "spoils of hunting season"! Their first treat is the
heart after a harvest, but the meaty bones is what they get in
the spring & early summer months! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/PuppyEyes.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/yay.gif

Rib bones are "verbotten" as they are sharp & do not become less
hazardous when cooked! But once cooked there is a lot of meat to
be trimmed off them that any dog would love! Our beags enjoy all
of the other bones, but Nibbler & Homer are the only young ones
now that can "bust the leg bones" to get to the marrow! Goober
has "outlived his teeth" & Rufus is "nearly there himself"! We
still feel blessed, though as Rufus is over 12 yrs old & Goober
is over 16 yrs old! (Nothing cleans their teeth better than
chewing on wild game bones)unless you have a bag of "T/D"! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/PuppyEyes.gif
