A couple of weeks ago my parents got a new dog, a lhasa apso. They named him Toby.
He's 7 weeks young and very small.

Toby likes to try and bite/tug on Olivers ears.
Oliver is pretty gentle with him.

Here are a couple of pics of Toby and my boy, Oliver....

Ok seriously, is that a toy dog? It is so cute and tiny, I've never seen a dog that small unless it was a newborn. Oliver's a good beag for letting him bite those floppy ears!!!
ya, Toby's baby teeth are now starting to sharpen up so he better cut it out or else Oliver might stomp on him :biglaugh:

I was kind of surprised how gentle Oliver was, because he like to play rough with us and other larger dogs at the dog park.

Oliver is about 15 inches at the shoulders, Toby's probably about 4-5 inches at the shoulders.

I wonder how big they grow up to be, bigger than beagles?
no, they grow to about 15 lbs max fully grown.

Oliver is 13 months old at 34 lbs.
So Toby will be smaller, but I know that they will end up playing rough with eachother because Toby already thinks that he is a big dog.

Oh my gosh! He's a little doll! I have the grown up version of the Lhasa. He's 3 years old, his name is Scamp, he is exactly the same coloring and he weighs 19 pounds. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

do you have any pics handy?
Does your lhasa have an attitude? Toby already has an attitude thats why I'm asking, it could just be a puppy stage.
I'll have to take some updated pics of them this weekend.

We had a Lhasa, Brandy, and she definitely had an attitude. Since they were bred to be alarm dogs for the temple of the Dali Lhama, they let you know when there are strangers about.

Brandy was a doll, but she sure let you know she was the boss. My two cats treated her with great deferance -- they knew exactly what to do -- walk in great circles around her! And she never even bothered them at all!!

They really do think they're big dogs. Brandy once had a big white German Shepherd by the throat: actually she was hanging on to him with all fours off the ground. And his owner had to call to Butch to get her off. That big dog just stood there whining :biglaugh:
