Yep, I echo the dominance factor. Java does not try to hump me, but he did try it on a teenager this past weekend when I visited my parents. The teenage human is a bit passive and submissive so Java--being a 14 month old trying to figure out where he stands in the pack--humped the poor kid's leg. As mentioned, a firm and consistent NO quickly put that to rest.
