I've posted once that Corey chases is ball if it goes outside the fence. Well his behavior extends far beyond that. If his ball is somewhere he can't get to he will sit there for hours staring at it. Today he tore up my kitchen floor trying to get at it as it had gone to far under the counter for him to reach. If your holding the ball it's impossible to get his attention off the ball and on to you. How do I break this cycle before it becomes even worse?

I would look at teaching him control when he's around the ball.

If it were me, I'd be taking the ball and putting it away and only taking it out when I was doing training with him. I'd be doing lots of short training sessions each day where I used the ball as a reward, so he had to work for it.

When a dog is obsessive like that you need to put the control back in and teach them that they get the ball on your terms and your terms only.
