Daisy gave me another scare tonight. We were outside kicking a ball around with my son. It was a big oversized Spongebob ball, and Daisy was a bit scared of it but I was trying to keep her distant from it. My son kicked it, and it flew right at her. She freaked, and pulled away hard and her collar flew right over her head. She went running full tilt. We don't have a fenced yard. So, I called her name and calmly (this time since the frantic calling when she got loose at PetSmart didn't work) told her to sit and she did it! I was shocked. She let me grab a hold of her and bring her inside.

Lesson learned though, harness only for outside play!

After just getting home from our third training class I am in awe. Jack and I have a lot to learn!

Speaking of a harness - but of a different kind. Has anyone found a good car seat harness? Jack sooooooo wants to sit in the passenger seat but the harness I got at Chow Hound just isn't working. I have a crate for him in the back but he hates it. Just wondering if anyone uses one and what kind??

That's great that you were able to catch her! Mugsy got out the other day (Nick thought he was still tied up inside the fence when he opened the gate) and I thought he would just take off on his own little adventure. Nope. He played keep away from daddy.
With Mugs, all you have to do is sit on the ground and he comes running...he is a total lap dog. So Nick's uncle sat down and that's how we caught him.

Banjo has also slipped out of his collar. Thank God he isn't a big runner though. He just kind of wandered off and I had to go and scoop him up.
