Cute! Maggie does that all the time too....she must think "if I'm not touching it, I can't get in trouble" /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif
She's become quite talented at staying upright for long periods of time.
My wife used to keep a small towel tucked through the handle of the refrigerator where she could grab it in a hurry in case of a spill. Suzi learned how to pull on the towel and open the refrigerator door. We came home one day to find her chewing on the bone from a ham steak we'd planned for dinner. No more towels on the door!
Abby does what I call "dancing" for certain foods. She'll stand on her two legs and plop around until she can't balance anymore...it's funny to watch. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif
I know that "dance". Caesar tries to push me out of the way whenever I'm standing at the kitchen counter preparing food. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
Familiar pose here, too. Li'l Girl will stand on her hind legs and beg with her front paws. I didn't teach her to do that, she just happened to do it one day shortly after we adopted her. My granddaughter was here, and we both said, "aww-www!" :eyes:
If Shiloh could balance her tubby self on her short little bassett-ish legs, I'm sure she would do that too. As it is, she contents herself with poking my leg, just in case I've forgotten that she's sitting by my feet, waiting for food to fall!! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif
That's a familiar sight in our house also. Sammy knows she gets in trouble if she puts her feet on the counter, but "if I don't touch I can't get into trouble" is what she is thinking. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
