Hello Everyone,

My Name is Tony and I am the new Owner of a Beagle/Bluetick Coonhound.
Not sure if this fourm is for Pure Breds and Beagle Mix alike. I picked up my little guy from his former owner who could no longer care for him, not soon after she got him herself. he is about 10 weeks old, and already being a spoiled little brat.

Being of the two breeds I know I have alot of work in the near future. And I hope to learn alot from you more experienced owners.

We named him Rosco Blue (Blue for his Blue eyes)
I will post pics at a later time.
I hope we are acepted here seeing how he is not a Pure Breed

Welcome! As a fellow newbie I can say that there is a lot of good information here. Unlike a lot of discussion forums everyone is very polite and willing to help. It's one of the friendliest forums that I've ever been on.

Welcome aboard. Many of us here have rescue dogs. They came to to us, in some cases with loads of baggage (issues) and certainly no AKC papers! LOL For all we know daddy was a traveling man. We sort of look at it as, if it looks like a beagle, acts like a beagle, barks like a beagle, eats like a beagle (any or all of the above) its a beagle! We just have a soft spot for hounds.

Thanks for all the great comments everyone. As said before it was those blue eyes that had me sold, Hopefully they dont change too much, and if they do oh well, we have grown to love his little personality. He doesnt seem to be blind or deaf, so how he got those colors I'm unsure of.

Potty training seems to be going great, its not as hard as I've read it could be, altho I wish I could say the same for leash training. I think this is going to be my biggest challange with him. So I'm all for any tips you guys may have!

What a beautiful pup! Welcome!

Our Cole had blue eyes when he was little but now they are an amazing gold color that everyone adores!
