I just got a call from our coordinator and i am getting an emergency foster intake tomorrow. We currently do not know much about the dog.Just a local pound called beagle paws saying if we did not take the dog it would be put to sleep

I will post photos and more info about the dog(not sure even if its male or female)tomorrow or Sunday.

Well i am home from picking up my foster and he was not an owner surrender. They deemed him unadoptable,he is extremely timid but loves my dogs.As soon as he comes out and relaxes more i will take some pics.and i need a name for him,the pound named him Jake but i wanna change it.

Bless you for saving this little fellow from being pts. 5 stars for you from me!

Your description of him reminds me of my little rescue, Henry. Timmy is a good name...reminds me of the shy little blonde-hair boy in the old Bad News Bears.

He is doing not bad now,he was eating treats out of my hand,he is exploring more around the house, and does not cower anymore when i try and pet him,He really enjoys getting into playtime with the other dogs.
I am making a vet appointment for him tomorrow to get his shots up to date.Hopefully he will be well enough to come to the beagle paws reunion on Sept.21 with us.

So he was an owner turn-in after all? Is that how they knew his name was Jake?

(my beagle-mix, who I took in back in May 1992, was named Jake. He started my love of beagles. Needless to say, I like that name.)

I was told at first he was an owner surrender and his name is Jake and he was being surrendered because he was destructive, not housetrained, and timid.
Then i was told he was a stray,Who named him Jake.
It doesnt matter at all now,he is safe and can just be a dog

They are wonderful, and so are you for taking in foster pups. I couldn't do it, I want to keep them all. They are beautiful dogs, and you are right with love and attention, they change over night.
Good luck, and bless ya.

So since i have 3 dogs in my household my 2 and Jake I am getting a check up for my Kass and Shots for Bear and Jake all for $162.00 and they are throwing microchipping for free for Bear and Jake.

I love seeing Jake come out of his shell right before our eyes! He is a cutie too - like Gingergoose I also love the all-brown face (just like our Moosie's face before he started to go grey...). Hope the vet visit goes okay and we look forward to hearing all about Jake's progress with you!
