I agree...she is not too young to be crate trained. Just be sure it's her size and it's not done for too long at a time! When you do not need to crate her, cuddle her tons!!! She's so young!
The wisest thing my friend said to me is You are not raising a puppy, you are raising a dog. You let them start bad habits (or things you really don't want them to do like get up on the sofa) as a pup and you will have a helluva time training them out of it!
