Great pictures of a beautiful beagle! And I'm definitely going to have to show our Poppy (Popcorn) that one picture where she is sitting facing sideways so Popcorn will understand why she is on a diet... she needs to look as good as that!

My poppy is on a diet too, that picture was taken when she was a pup, she certainly doesnt look like that now! Since we had her spayed & getting a second dog (Rotty) she has gone outwards. We have had a big problem with her dominaiting Teddy (the Rott). Tedd wouldnt eat his food until Poppy had finished her food & hepled herself to his, only when she had finished Teddy would eat. Now they are seperated at meal times & she is noticeably losing weight & looks more like a pup again.

That is too funny - I have a great mental image of little Poppy staring down your poor rotty and taking his food! Good luck to Poppy on her diet - our Popcorn is doing okay with her diet but it is definitely a battle to lose the weight and, most importantly, to keep it off!

It certainly is hard work to get those pounds off!!!

It is quite funny to see my poor Rotty get abused by a beagle but he is a total wimp!!! We had Teddy from 7 weeks old & he was tiny. Poppy was already a year & a half old & very dominant so she has always been the boss even though Teddy towers her. He loses the play fight everytime but they truly are lost without each other.

Here's some picks of the duo, some are from about a year ago when Poppy was a BLIMP

Teddy looks like a sweet dog. The Bagel, my beagle, had an on going affair with a pair of Rottweilder girls that lived next door. They were sisters and they would come into season the same time. Bagel is neutered but he knew he was expected to do something and it was a hoot because he wasn't tall enough
The two girls loved Bagel and would often sneak out of their yard to come visit. The one thing is to note is that Poppy most likely will outlive Teddy by several years and as close as they are, it may be difficult for Poppy to cope without Teddy.

That must be hilarious to see a beagle trying to hump a Rotty!!!

I cant bear to think of either of them passing on. I realise that Rottys dont live that long & beagles can live to 15+ years but i just shut that out. Their age soon creeps up aswell, i cant believe Poppy is 4 next month. Stay tuned for the birthday piccys!!!

I LOVE the one on the garden bench. It should be blown up huge, framed and hung in a garden room.
I envy you guys who can take such awesome pictures of your dogs. I get out the camera and Winston starts licking his privates.
